<p>FindTape Premium Polyester Felt Tape is a 1 millimeter thick, synthetic needle punched felt tape made from polyester fibers. The polyester fibers are needle punched with a special felting needle, one with small barbs on the end. These barbs pull the polyester into itself, locking together to create a fabric. This single-sided adhesive tape offers a low cost alternative to wool, and can be used in many industrial and commercial applications.</p> <p>Polyester felt products offer a range of benefits. Not only is polyester felt less expensive than wool felt, but needle punched polyester felt also provides resistance to organic acids, moisture, bleaches, and other oxidizing agents that could damage the material. Other advantages of polyester felts include high heat tolerance, resistance to wearing and sunlight, ideal for dry heat applications, excellent for dirt collection, resistance to aging, and more.</p> <p>Synthetic polyester felt is commonly used for&nbsp;filtration applications,&nbsp;gaskets, wipers, and padding in a wide variety of&nbsp;industries. Polyester felt can also be found in commercial products like clothing, crafts, and more.</p> <b>Application Instructions</b><br> <p>On many of the adhesive felt products the rolls will have an approximately 2 inch to 4 inch leader of double-sided film tape applied to the release liner at the start of the roll. We recommend you either cut a small piece of felt off at the beginning of the roll with a pair of scissors to start, or peel the double-sided film tape off of the release liner to use as a way to begin applying the felt (try not to pull the double-sided film tape off of the felt backing though). It is sometimes easier to try to peel the corner of the felt away from the release liner (instead of the release liner away from the felt) since you may end up splitting the release liner when you do it that way.
